I recently was interviewed for a webinar where I discussed the importance of companies treating their job candidates and employees by the Golden Rule. Common courtesy and treating people the way you’d want to be treated goes a long way, especially in the hiring process where first impressions are made. Companies who do this stand out to job candidates from the companies who ghost their candidates, post fake job ads, and much worse.
But there are several companies who not only get the hiring process right, but also the onboarding, tenure, and exit process. They are the companies who understand the importance of treating their employees with respect, dignity, and fairness. They also understand that company culture is much more than a list of values framed and hung on the walls of their corporate buildings.
